obraz samotnego ojca zastąpić o wiele częstszym obrazem samotnej matki? Niech krzyk córki służy za odpowiedź.

A man taking care of an infant daughter has to redefine everything he once identified with “masculinity”. Should we look at his helplessness with compassion or pity, and replace the image of a single father with the much more common image of a single mother? Let the daughter’s scream be our answer.

Ívar Erik Yeoman, Islandia Reżyser

Ívar Erik Yeoman to scenarzysta/reżyser filmów fabularnych i dokumentalnych z Islandii, gdzie studiował filozofię, zanim skupił się na kręceniu filmów. W 2016 roku ukończył reżyserię fabularną na FAMU w Pradze, a następnie w 2021 roku uzyskał tytuł magistra w Kino Eyes (studia między Lizboną, Edynburgiem i Tallinem). W międzyczasie pracował w przemyśle filmowym na Islandii, m.in. dla miejscowego reżysera Hlynura Pálmasona, dla którego nakręcił także dokument o powstawaniu swojego filmu fabularnego A White, White Day z 2019 roku (premiera 2019 na Cannes’s Critics Week) zatytułowanego Scenes from a Process, którego premiera odbyła się na Festiwalu Filmów Dokumentalnych w Skjaldborg w 2020 roku. 2022, Ívar Yeoman ukończył w Estonii dwa krótkometrażowe filmy fabularne, które są obecnie w dystrybucji, Days Without i Uibu Talu.


Ívar Erik Yeoman is a writer/director of fiction and documentaries from Iceland, where he studied philosophy before focusing on filmmaking. In 2016 he finished a Directing Fiction diploma from FAMU in Prague and then graduated with a master’s degree in the same from Kino Eyes (studying between Lisbon, Edinburgh and Tallinn) in 2021. In between he worked in the film industry in Iceland, most notably for the local director Hlynur Pálmason, of which he also made a documentary about the making of his 2019 feature A White, White Day (2019 premiere at Cannes’s Critics Week) called Scenes from a Process, premiered at Skjaldborg Documentary Film Festival in 2020. In 2022, Ívar Yeoman completed two short fiction films in Estonia which are currently in distribution, Days Without and Uibu Talu.
